Job description
Overview

We are seeking a fully qualified family law solicitor with at least 2 years of PQE to join our team.

This role requires a commitment of 45 minutes on a rotational basis, typically once a week, to conduct telephone appointments.

Our service assists individuals aged 18 and over in understanding their legal rights, enabling them to make informed decisions to protect themselves and their loved ones. Ultimately, our goal is to empower them to live lives free from the domestic abuse they have experienced.

How We Work
  • Client Matching: Once clients are triaged, they are matched with a volunteer solicitor specialising in the relevant areas of family law.
  • Appointment Management: Our contact management system notifies the solicitor of the appointment and provides access to case details before the 30-minute telephone appointment.
  • Legal Advice: The solicitor delivers impartial legal advice with empathy, considering the client’s experiences of abuse and trauma.
  • Documentation: After the appointment, the solicitor provides a brief overview of the discussion and advice given.
  • Support: FLAG DV has a dedicated team responsible for booking appointments, coordinating with clients, and supporting our volunteer solicitors in fulfilling their commitments.

In total, the volunteer commitment should amount to 45 minutes per session.
