Job description
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a lady in my mid 50’s living with my parents in St Athan. I have my own space in the house as my parents want me to be as independent as possible. I have epilepsy and have daily seizures and I have very little communication, but I am able to communicate my needs. I am very happy and easy-going and just like to play as I am very childlike.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide me with support for my daily morning and bedtime routine.

HOURS OF WORK
  • There are 10 hours per week available;
  • 2 days a week 5 hours per
  • wednesday 1pm-6pm
  • friday 1pm-6pm
RATES OF PAY

£14.50 per hour

TASKS CAN INCLUDE
  • Playing with me
  • Helping with some personal care (washing and toileting)
  • Ensuring I take my medication
  • Help with dressing
  • Prepare breakfast
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
  • Someone who is reliable and able to cover additional hours if needed
  • A non-smoker
  • Someone who is bubbly and friendly
  • Someone who will engage and chat with me
  • Experience not essential as my parents will support you initially until you are comfortable in the role
ABOUT THE JOB

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four-weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
