Job summary

A Third-Party Care Provider in Barry is seeking a Part-Time Care Assistant to provide personal care support at home. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and be flexible with scheduling. A police check will be required before employment. This role offers wages paid every four weeks and appropriate holiday pay.

Job description

You will provide respite for my husband who is my main carer. You will support me with personal care at home.

You must have a confident, clear and direct approach in communication
You'll be able to lead and initiate conversations, actively keeping me engaged
Be able to give reassurance and guidance when needed
Proactive in situations and be able to problem solve on your own initiative
A sensible and mature person
You must be flexible, understanding that shifts, days and times may change with short notice

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four-weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
