Job description

Salary up to £80,000 DOE, plus up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance and up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus

Eden Veterinary Centre is a forward-thinking small-animal practice on the edge of the beautiful Lake District. Just 30 minutes from fells, lakes, Hadrian’s Wall, and the Scottish Borders, our location offers the perfect mix of professional fulfilment and outdoor adventure.

In early 2026, we’ll be moving into a brand-new, purpose-built practice featuring:

  • 2 theatres
  • A dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray
  • Imaging room with DR and ultrasound
  • Full lab facilities

All designed to provide the best working environment for our team while keeping our warm, friendly, small-practice feel.

Our ethos is simple: we treat every pet as if they were our own. We aim to make visits as stress-free as possible for animals and owners alike, and we foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive workplace where every team member has a voice.

Our Team

You’ll be joining a motivated, supportive group of 5 vets, 6 RVNs, 1 student nurse, 1 animal care assistant, a practice director, and an experienced reception team. We’re proud to be a nurse training practice and actively encourage learning across all roles.

We have a surgical certificate holder and will soon be taking surgical referrals (soft tissue and orthopaedics). We’re also ready to invest in facilities and equipment to support further certificate holders in their chosen area of expertise.

Who Are We Looking For?

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Already hold/working towards a certificate in diagnostic imaging or medicine OR is now looking to take the next step in their career by studying towards a certificate in these areas
  • Are passionate about delivering high-quality, accessible care to first opinion clients
  • Enjoy teaching and mentoring, particularly supporting nurses and graduate vets
  • Value teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth

This role will suit someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and client-focused, while also eager to continue their own development.

How Can We Support You?

We offer:

  • Certificate support: Financial backing and tailored CPD to help you succeed
  • Tailored development: Freedom to pursue areas of special interest
  • Supportive culture: Strong nursing team, regular clinical discussions, and team meetings
The Job

Flexible hours (20-40 per week), 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, and a genuine focus on work-life balance and wellbeing.

Benefits

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from:
