Job summary

A veterinary care provider in Glasgow is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Patient Care Assistant to join their team. Job description

We are currently looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about animal care to join our West End team as a Patient Care Assistant.

The ideal candidate should be professional, confident and will strive to deliver the very best service for our patients and clients.

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will be trained in assisting the clinical teams to provide an optimal inpatient environment as well as aid in the smooth running of the practice. Under the guidance of our Vet Nurses and Vet Surgeons, you can expect to be handling patients, running diagnostic tests as well as setting up and cleaning down a theatre. You will meet and greet clients, book appointments, handle financial transactions and keep the practice tidy.

Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not necessary as the successful candidates will go through an initial intense training programme.

The successful candidate will work 37.5h per week, Monday - Sunday covering between 9am - 7pm.

Pets'n'Vets has branches all over Glasgow and the West where you may be placed. Our West End practices are located at Queen Margaret Drive and Scotstoun. Both are bustling practices providing excellent care for local pets. This is a busy and demanding role, you must have excellent communication, customer service and IT skills. Driving licence is essential.
