Job description
Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious VehicleCamera Technician to join the Service Department at our Chorley site working Monday to Friday from 6am to 3:30pm.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the main job function will be to undertake camera installations and repairs, service and repair activities on motor vehicles and trailers of all types to the highest standard within the scheduled times.

Responsibilities
  • To care for customers’ vehicles and property and seek to achieve the highest customer satisfaction.
  • To carry out all work in a safe, environmentally friendly and economical way.
  • To build a bank of knowledge and skills to diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles and effect permanent and complete repairs.
  • To share skills and knowledge to develop others within the dealership.
  • To enhance the reputation of Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd. at every opportunity when interacting with others.
  • To work as part of a small team supporting and developing Bus & Coach customers.
  • Any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager.
Qualifications, skills and experience
  • Obtained a City & Guilds or other adequate qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience in vehicle camera systems.
  • Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail.
  • Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data.
  • Full and current UK driving licence, an HGV licence is preferred but not essential.
  • A friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a larger team as well as on their own initiative.
