EDHECinfra and Private Assets is at the forefront of global private assets research. Our mission is to advance the understanding and development of valuation and governance techniques for private infrastructure and other private assets, fostering both academic and practical insights.
We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished researcher to contribute to our efforts in critiquing and improving valuation methodologies, governance practices, and enhancing transparency in private asset markets.
Conduct research on private asset valuation techniques, methodologies, and extant industry practices, with a focus on private infrastructure and private equity.
Analyze fund governance frameworks and their impact on asset valuation, investor returns, and market performance.
Produce high-quality research papers and reports suitable for publication in leading academic journals, industry publications, and white papers.
Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars to academic, industry, and policymaking audiences.
Work closely with industry partners, policymakers, and stakeholders to ensure research relevance and practical applicability.
PhD or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field, with a focus on asset valuation, private equity performance, or governance.
Proven track record of published research in high-impact journals.
At least 5 years of practical experience in private asset valuation, private equity, infrastructure finance, or related areas.
Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical frameworks to solve real-world valuation and governance challenges.
Proven experience in interacting with and persuading regulatory bodies, with a track record of influencing changes in accounting interpretations.
Demonstrated ability to build consensus among regulators and industry stakeholders, resulting in the adoption of more robust and transparent valuation practices.
Strong presentation skills with experience delivering research findings to academic and professional audiences.
Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research environment.
Leadership experience in research projects or industry initiatives is an advantage.
