A leading coalition in digital preservation is seeking a Digital Asset Manager (Audiovisual) to support the Science Museum Group's growing digital content. This role offers the opportunity to work on managing digital assets and planning further Digital Asset Management solutions across multiple UK locations for a fixed term of 9 months.

About the role

It is an exciting time at SMG as we generate significant new digital content. To support the care of our growing digital corporate records and collections we are looking for a Digital Asset Manager to help us plan for further Digital Asset Management solutions, on a fixed-term basis for 9 months.

You will be working on scoping and contributing to a business case and implementation plan for digital storage and access and dealing with enquiries for the digital corporate content. This is a Group-wide role and can be based any of our sites in London, Bradford, Manchester, York or Wroughton.

About you

As a Digital Asset Manager, you will bring experience of managing digital assets, associated files, and related metadata. Bringing experience with digital assets gained in a collections, asset management, records management or similar role within a digital environment, you will have an understanding of information management and/or records management principles and practice. Good collaborative skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues across the whole organisation will be essential.
