Overview

Utilities Project Officer RP0137. Starting salary £38,350pa with potential progression to £41,254pa on achieving designated skills and experience. 2 year fixed term contract. 37 hours per week (hybrid).

Responsibilities
  • Lead improvements to the council’s utilities and energy services within the Transformation Team.
  • Responsible for improving processes, managing utilities contracts and supporting the rollout of smart meters across the council’s building portfolio.
  • Combine the responsibilities of managing utilities projects with the analytical skills of a business analyst.
  • Work closely with service teams and stakeholders in identifying, analysing, and recommending improvements, as well as supporting the management and delivery of these changes.
  • Engage with a wide range of audiences; be detail-oriented and collaborative with people at all levels in teams across the organisation.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
  • Hybrid working arrangement; office in Welwyn Garden City at least two days per week.
