A healthcare provider in Norwich is looking for an Urgent Care Practitioner or Prescribing Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The role involves providing high-quality urgent care, ensuring safe clinical decision-making, and collaborating with a diverse multi-disciplinary team. Candidates must be registered nurses or paramedics with current UK certifications. This position offers an opportunity to work flexibly within core hours and contribute to the care of over 12,000 patients.
Weare looking for an Urgent Care Practitioner or Prescribing Nurse Practitioner thatshares our passion for delivering high quality patient care to work throughoutthe week supporting our Urgent Care Team.
We use SystmOneclinical system and have a reasonable workload. With support from the GPs and existing NursePractitioners you will work as part of a team responsible for providing on theday urgent care to the patient through initial history taking, clinicalassessment, investigations leading to appropriate diagnosis and treatmentpathways.
You will demonstratesafe, clinical decision making and acting within professional boundaries andto work collaboratively as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. You should be an independent prescriber.
We have adiverse and skilled team that includes urgent care services. Our team comprises of 3 GP Partners, 6 SalariedGPs, 1 regular long-term locum, 2 Nurse Practitioners, a highly skilledPractice Nursing Team, Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinator, General PracticeAssistants, Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Recovery workers,Social Prescriber, First Contact Practitioner. The clinical team is supportedby the Patient Services Team led by two Practice Managers. We all work togetherto deliver high quality patient care with an emphasis on innovation andtechnology.
We are ateaching practice near the University of East Anglia, where we have beentraining medical students for the past 2-3 years. Our practice has three surgery sites WestEarlham Health Centre, Bates Green Health Centre, and Adelaide Street HealthCentre. We care for 12,780 patients, a number that is increasing.
We are alearning organisation and encourage and support our team to develop theirskills. We currently have one colleague training to become a registered Nurseand another colleague training to become a Nurse Associate.
We have a GPRegistrar as well as teaching Year 5, Year 2 and Year 1 UEA GP medical students.We also offer placement to Nursingstudents and non-clinical students.
