Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a friendly, ambitious secondary school in Northampton that is looking to welcome an Unqualified English Teacher to their team from January 2026.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone keen to build practical teaching experience, develop confidence in the classroom, and contribute to students' learning while being supported every step of the way by an experienced department.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 with the help of structured plans and department resources
  • Supporting learners who need additional help with reading, writing, and comprehension
  • Leading small-group literacy sessions and occasionally offering one-to-one support
  • Helping maintain a positive and focused classroom atmosphere
  • Taking part in English-based clubs or enrichment activities such as creative writing or debate groups
Who Would Suit This Role
  • A graduate in English or a related subject, confident in grammar, literature, and communication
  • Someone with a genuine interest in teaching and developing young learners
  • An organised and proactive individual ready to learn from experienced colleagues
  • Someone considering teacher training in the future-PGCE, School Direct, or similar
