Job description
Job Overview

As a member of BT’s Security Team, you will deliver and operate services for special customers under Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Targets (SLTs). You will work onsite with the BT Technical Services Team, manage and support critical collaboration platforms, systems, and networks for key customers, and own all critical change and support activities, deploying updates, patches, and configuration support. Your focus will be on maintaining high availability, rapid incident resolution, and successful deployment of changes, upgrades, and enhancements.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and operate services for special customers under SLAs/SLTs.
  • Be part of an exceptionally motivated onsite BT Technical Services Team.
  • Manage and technically support internal reference and critical customer‑located collaboration platforms, systems and networks.
  • Own and manage all critical change and support activities. Deploy system updates and patches, provide urgent configuration support.
  • Establish and maintain high availability of platform services and rapidly resolve incidents during normal operations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, network configuration, issue resolution, network implementation and network security skills.
  • Degree educated (or vocational qualifications within relevant disciplines).
  • Operational and management experience within the IT sector.
  • Availability to form part of an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota (1 week in 3 or 4).
  • Experience leading IT project teams during complex deliveries.
  • Desired experience: Administration of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), Cisco Packaged Contact Centre Enterprise (PCCE).
  • Ability to troubleshoot user issues related to PCCE, CUCM, Unity.
Security Clearance

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo a DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. An allowance of £5,000 per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance.
