Job summary

A dedicated educational organization is seeking a passionate tutor to work on a part-time basis within the community or pupils' homes. The successful candidate will create tailored lessons to assist vulnerable young learners, particularly KS3 and KS4 students. Knowledge of special educational needs (SEND) is advantageous, and flexibility in working hours is provided to suit family needs. This role offers £25 per hour, starting ASAP and is temporary in nature.

Qualifications

  • Must hold QTS or have extensive tutoring experience.
  • Preferred UK classroom teaching experience, though not essential.
  • Willing to work with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to boost education.
  • Engage with vulnerable young people to support their learning.
  • Plan lessons that bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education.

Overview

Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? If so, we have a very exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a tutor in Wigan. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
