The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is advertising for a Trust Grade Registrar Acute Medicine. The closing date is 08 October 2025.
The successful candidate will work at Princess Alexandra Hospital, within the Acute Medicine Department which is part of the Urgent & Emergency Care division. The Acute Medicine Department has recently undergone a number of changes. Currently we staff a 28 bedded Adult Assessment Unit which aims to have a length of stay of less than 24 hours. Working in partnership with this area is a 28 bedded Medical Short Stay Ward (Charnley Ward) which provides care for patients with a 72 hour short-stay in hospital. We are also responsible for a dedicated Same Day Emergency Care Unit co-located to the Emergency Department.
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop\'s Stortford, and St Margaret\'s Hospital in Epping.
We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop\'Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.
