Job summary

A logistics company is seeking a Transport Office Supervisor to manage the night transport operation in a busy environment. This role includes supervising the transport office, planning vehicle movements, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Immediate start is available, and the position offers a nights 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.

We are recruiting for a Transport Office Supervisor to manage the night transport operation within a busy logistics environment. This is a hands‑on role overseeing the transport office and supporting drivers to ensure a smooth, compliant, and efficient night shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the night transport office and support the transport team
  • Plan vehicle movements, routes, and driver schedules
  • Act as main point of contact for drivers during the night shift
  • Ensure compliance with Drivers' Hours, WTD, and tachograph regulations
  • Manage delays, breakdowns, and incidents effectively
  • Maintain accurate transport records and system updates
  • Liaise with warehouse and day shift teams to ensure smooth handovers
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a transport office or logistics supervisory role
  • Good knowledge of transport compliance and drivers' hours
  • Confident communicator with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • IT literate (TMS and Microsoft Office)
  • Flexible and reliable with a nights 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Desirable
  • CPC qualification or working towards
  • FMCG, retail, or time‑critical distribution experience
