Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Are you a highly motivated individual with at least one year of experience in sales or recruitment?

Are you looking for a new role to kick-start your career?

We are working with a well-established recruitment consultancy that specialises in a very niche sector, providing services to businesses across the UK. They are looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join their busy team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a sales or recruitment background who wants to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll be responsible for finding great candidates to fill open roles that come in from existing clients and the business development team. This is a varied role where you'll be managing many different tasks at once.

  • Liaising directly with clients to understand their needs and provide updates.
  • Registering and meeting with candidates, which may involve driving to locations across the UK.
  • Formatting CVs and preparing candidate profiles for clients.
  • Matching candidates to open vacancies and presenting the job opportunity to them.
  • Coordinating interviews, offers, contracts, and start dates.
  • Gaining feedback from clients and providing it to candidates.

You'll need to be able to work under pressure and to meet targets and KPIs, so this role is ideal for someone who isn't afraid of hard work.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver and a team player with a strong sales or recruitment background. In addition to a minimum of one year of experience, you should also have:

  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to targets.
  • The drive to put in the hard work to get the job done—you're not a clock-watcher.
  • A car and a valid driver's license.

The existing team has been with the company for 5-15 years, so there's a wealth of knowledge to learn from. You will receive extensive training during your first 6-8 weeks to get you up to speed before you take on your own responsibilities.
