A leading healthcare provider in Coventry is seeking enthusiastic individuals to become Trainee Health Care Support Workers. This role requires no previous healthcare experience and offers the opportunity to study for a level 2 health and social care qualification. Candidates must be over 16 and resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years. This position supports nursing staff in delivering quality patient care. Overview

Support the Registered Nursing staff in providing assistance and personal care for patients within University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW).

  • NO previous Healthcare experience: Trainee HCSW - 75% of a band 2 - £18,348 + enhancements
  1. You will have NO previous experience of working within care.
  2. You are required to study a level 2 health and social care related qualification alongside your working role.
Requirements
  • You must be aged 16 or over.
  • Be a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years.
  • Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education.
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from their current UK occupational health provider or UK GP.
  • Please note that sponsorship is not available for this post.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Nursing staff in providing high quality patient centred care and assistance with personal care where required.
  • Participate in a robust induction and Ready to care programme with an Advocate team to support career development.
  • Undertake a basic literacy test at the Recruitment Centre as part of shortlisting; participate in interview if successful.
