Job description

Brett Aggregates Ltd is one of the largest independent aggregate suppliers in the South East of England. We have operations based in Kent, Suffolk, Sussex, Hampshire, and Middlesex, operating a fleet of 75 vehicles including rigid and artic tipper vehicles.

We are seeking a Transport Planner responsible for scheduling our fleet of tippers based in West London and the South Coast, moving aggregate materials. The role reports to the regional Transport Manager.

The Role Will Include But Is Not Limited To
  • Providing support and backup to the Transport Manager.
  • Ensuring deliveries and collections are made safely and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Taking customer orders from Sales and coordinating resources to meet daily volumes.
  • Routing and scheduling approximately 20 tipper vehicles to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Driving efficiency improvements through maximum utilization of resources.
  • Sourcing external hauliers as needed based on daily volumes.
  • Maintaining high service levels through effective communication with internal and external customers.
Key Skills For The Right Candidate
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • IT literacy, with experience in load scheduling, routing, or traffic management systems preferred.
  • A good telephone manner, self-driven, eager to learn new skills.
  • CPC qualification (National or International) is advantageous but not essential.

Salary ranges between £33,000 and £36,000, depending on experience. Hours are Monday to Friday, starting between 07:00 and 08:00, finishing between 16:30 and 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. Some Saturday mornings may be required, paid as overtime.
