Job summary

A leading catering company is seeking a dedicated team member to provide catering services at an independent boarding school near Dover. You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food, previous experience in a customer service or food preparation role, and be able to work within a team. Various contracts are available.

Job description
Overview

A fabulous co-educational independent boarding school for children with military traditions. Set in 150 acres of Kent countryside near Dover. Catering for about 570 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of AM snack, Lunch, PM snack, Supper and a 6th form cafe. There will be a good amount of hospitality offering at this location. Contracts vary from 52 weeks to 44 weeks per year. This school operates 7 days a week so working patterns are 5 out of 7 days and has additional benefits of free parking and use of on site gym.

Responsibilities
  • To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch, supper & hospitality.
  • To assist in food preparation using fresh ingredients and following the companies brand standards.
  • To rotate and restock fridges, freezers, dry stores and assist with deliveries.
  • Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Ensure the kitchen is left clean and tidy to the required standard of the Chef Manager or to the hygiene standards set by the company / Client.
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
