Job summary

A leading community healthcare provider in Canterbury is looking for an enthusiastic Therapy Assistant to support the Community Neuro Rehab team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Therapy Assistant to join our professional Community Neuro Rehab team in Thanet.

Main duties of the job

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ / QCF Diploma or certificate of care / Advanced apprenticeship) or equivalent. Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
Experience
  • Demonstratable experience as a Healthcare Assistant / Worker in a health or social care setting. Experience of working as part of a team. Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages.
  • Experience within community healthcare setting.
Knowledge
  • Awareness of developments in the NHS. Knowledge of up to date clinical practice. Understands the role and remit of Unregistered worker.
Skills & abilities
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written). Ability to organise own work. Ability to cope with change. Ability to use own initiative. Moderate IT skills.
Personal attributes
  • Supportive. Full UK driving licence.
Ability to manage
  • Ability to prioritise care delivery in a professional manner, taking into account Trust policies and procedures. Ability to manage own time effectively.
