Overview

Pulse Nursing are looking for registered and experienced Band 5 & 6 Registered Scrub Nurses in the South West London area.

At Pulse, we understand that being a Registered Scrub Nurse can be challenging. We aim to take the hassle out of duties such as booking shifts and completing timesheets, and to provide support through difficult times so you can focus on the job you love doing. Enjoy the freedom to work how you want, with flexible shifts available from Monday through Sunday. Plan ahead with block bookings up to 3 months in advance. We offer a variety of shift patterns, including the option of full-time equivalent hours, in the South West London area, paying between £25.50-£40.00 per hour.

Theatre Scrub Nurse responsibilities include:

  • You will set up the operating room for patients, ensuring all tools are sterile and ready to use.
  • Hand tools to the doctor during surgery and perform other duties inside the surgical room as requested.
  • Act quickly in emergencies during surgery while remaining calm and following instructions.
  • Assist with draping and de-gowning patients.
  • Complete documentation and hand over patients to the recovery room.
  • Each Scrub nurse role may vary depending on location and skill.
Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Valid NMC registration
  • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the Scrub Sector
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment
  • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one
  • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required
