The Ohio Territory Manager will play a key role in increasing our brand awareness, fostering relationships with customers, and educating industry professionals on the benefits and technical applications of our products. While part of a supportive and collaborative team, this role is primarily independent in nature.

The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, motivated, reliable, and comfortable working alone to drive results in the field. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do—they naturally take the initiative to get things done, follow through on what they said they’d do, and bring a high level of energy to every customer interaction.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and Train Dealers and Contractors: Make our products easier to understand and sell by providing ongoing support before, during, and after the sale. This includes training sessions, jobsite visits, delivering promotional items, and offering technical guidance on installations.
  • Grow Contractor Base Through Outreach: Cold call, meet with, and build lasting relationships with new and existing contractors. Inspire confidence in our products and become a trusted partner by providing excellent customer service and consistently out serving our competition.
  • Manage and Expand the Dealer Network: Maintain strong dealer relationships and identify opportunities to add new dealers as market demand dictates. Equip dealer partners to serve contractors by providing regular training and serving as a dependable point of contact.
  • Engage Industry Professionals: Connect with landscape architects, designers, engineers, and builders to introduce High Format products and educate them on our capabilities.
  • Problem Solve in the Field: Address product-related issues on job sites with professionalism and urgency, aiming to resolve problems quickly and preserve long-term customer relationships.
  • Maintain Clear and Consistent Communication: Collaborate closely with internal team members and external partners. Ensure timely follow-up and accountability—do what you say you’re going to do.
  • Grow in Product and Installation Knowledge: Maintain a high level of technical understanding of our products and installation methods. Be able to confidently demonstrate and teach others.
  • Participate in Trade Shows and Events: Represent High Format at industry events, trade shows, open houses, and other promotional opportunities.

Travel Expectations: This position requires regular travel, including overnight stays, to visit customers, attend events, and support jobsites.

Other Skills, Abilities, Licenses, or Certifications:
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must have a satisfactory motor driver record and be insurable
  • Ability to lift and transport product samples and promotional items (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Comfort with using CRM systems, mobile apps, and Microsoft Office suite

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience in the construction, landscape, or hardscape industries preferred
  • Hands-on experience in field service, contracting, or installation is a plus
