About the role

Kitchen Porter at Worsley College, within the Food, Bakery & Patisserie team. This essential role ensures teaching kitchens remain clean, safe, and well-stocked, supporting both staff and students in delivering high-quality practical sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all kitchen areas, including equipment, surfaces, and storage zones.
  • Carry out deep cleaning routines and ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage deliveries, organise stock, and rotate supplies to support efficient kitchen operations.
  • Safely dispose of waste and maintain recycling procedures.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing down practical sessions.
  • Provide general support to catering students and staff during practical activities, helping to create a safe and organised learning environment.
