Job description

We are looking for a Temporary Accommodation (TA) Asset Manager to lead the asset management and investment strategy for the council's TA stock. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a new asset management strategy and investment plan, which you will then take through our internal governance procedures. You will also oversee the delivery of maintenance services (Voids, Investment, Compliance, and Day-to-Day) by our contractor, aiming to improve processes and achieve time and cost savings. Knowledge of Building Safety and emerging legislation around damp and mould would be highly beneficial.

Essential qualifications include substantial experience in planning and delivering services within large or complex organizations, strong knowledge of building construction and property maintenance, and excellent planning and organization skills focused on achieving the best outcomes for customers.

We seek someone with excellent leadership skills who can inspire, motivate, and develop others. The candidate should have the authority and credibility to build relationships internally and externally, engaging with colleagues, partners, and customers at all levels in a complex, often politically sensitive environment. Responsibilities also include managing budgets and contracts, preparing tenders, and writing specifications to ensure tangible performance outcomes.

If you are ambitious, solution-focused, collaborative, and trustworthy, reflecting our organizational values, we encourage you to apply.
