Overview

Job Summary: Technical Facilities Manager (London) - Permanent, full-time role with a Facilities Management provider based in London.

Start Timeline: Company is targeting appointment within the next six weeks.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: Up to 52,000 per annum.

  • Travel: Includes Zone 1-3 monthly travel card.

  • Annual Leave: 31 days per year.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and technical compliance of HVAC, BMS, and electrical systems across client sites.

  • Develop and manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure accurate record-keeping using CAFM or similar tools.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and compliance audits, and ensure swift resolution of any identified issues.

  • Act as technical liaison with clients, contractors, and internal teams, coordinating service delivery and contractor activity.

  • Produce and present technical reports and performance updates for senior management.

  • Support budget planning, track service costs, and contribute to cost-effective FM operations.

  • Maintain health & safety standards, enforce permit-to-work protocols, and champion a safety-first culture.

Qualifications
  • Technical Background: You\'ll be mechanically or electrically qualified (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent), with hands-on experience in commercial M&E environments.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of statutory and technical compliance for HVAC, BMS, and electrical systems.

  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Capability to work autonomously while effectively coordinating with teams and contractors.

  • Familiarity with CAFM or maintenance software is advantageous.
