Team Manager(Social Work) – Safeguarding Team

Join us for an exciting opportunity as a Team Manager in the Social Work Safeguarding Team in Bolton, UK. This locum position offers a competitive rate of £46 hourly for a period of 3 months. As a full-time role of 37 hours per week, you will be an essential part of a supportive and dynamic safeguarding team focused on progressing permanence plans for children. The role requires experience in managing social workers and a strong understanding and evidence of working within children’s safeguarding services.

What you will do:

• Manage one of the six safeguarding teams, each comprising six dedicated social workers, to ensure the highest standards of care and service delivery.
• Collaborate with social workers to develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies for children subject to child protection plans, children in need, care proceedings, and adoption.
• Apply your extensive knowledge of child care law and evidence-based practice in children’s social care to guide the team.
• Provide leadership and supervision, ensuring team objectives are met and staff receive appropriate support.
• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings to promote a holistic approach to children’s welfare.
