Job description
Overview

We are recruiting one full‑time Band 8a Team Manager to join our well‑established team working across the West London footprint. This is a newly created position following a re‑tendering process with NHS England, with the new contract going live at the start of November 2025. We are part of the North London Forensic Collaborative (NLFC), the largest forensic Provider Collaborative in England, a partnership between forensic services within five NHS trusts across North London.

In collaboration, we will provide the Integrated Non‑Custodial Liaison and Diversion Services across North London, including Primary Care Men's Mental Health Treatment Requirements (a London first) and a new Pathway for Voluntary Attendance, with wraparound community support from Waythrough, our voluntary sector partner. Our aim is to improve health outcomes, reduce police contact and re‑offending, and avert crisis‑related situations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and operational leadership across the service, including acting as a role model and supporting multi‑agency interfaces on a daily basis.
  • Allocate at least one day per week to clinical work in an area of Liaison and Diversion.
  • Supervision and line management of staff (desirable; expected as part of the post).
  • Drive change management and develop appropriate service responses as the new contract is mobilised (first 1–2 years).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience and knowledge of the crisis pathway and high‑standard risk management.
  • Direct experience of working with young people and adults within acute, community and/or forensic settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to close partnership working with Police, courts and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Previous supervision and line management experience is desirable.
