Nurse Team Leader Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Team Leader to oversee a team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and supportive setting. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, particularly in dementia and general nursing. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in dementia care and a strong ability to lead and support nursing teams while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and lead a team of nursing professionals, providing support and guidance in day-to-day operations.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Oversee the development and delivery of individualised care plans, ensuring timely and effective patient interventions.
  • Staff Supervision: Monitor and assess the performance of nursing staff, offering constructive feedback and ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, especially those with complex needs such as dementia.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices in patient care delivery.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and progress to maintain high standards of care.
  • Communication: Act as a key point of contact between patients, their families, and healthcare providers to address concerns and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, aiming to elevate the standard of care and outcomes within the unit.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Prior experience in dementia care, including working with residents with complex needs. - Nurse Qualified
  • Proven experience in leading teams within a nursing or healthcare setting.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, often challenging environment.

Contract details: Location: Chorley; Salary: £20.36 per hour (enhanced overtime £28.36); Hours: 36 hours per week (Day Shifts, 8am-8pm); Contract Type: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential for extension or permanent role).
