Job Role:

Teaching Assistant (Graduate)

Location:

Wandsworth, London

Salary:

£90–£95 per day

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and vibrant school community in Wandsworth. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is passionate about education and eager to gain hands‑on classroom experience while supporting pupils’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
  • Support pupils with additional needs, promoting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records and classroom organisation
Requirements
  • A degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, or related fields desirable)
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo checks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
