Job summary

An education recruitment agency is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students in a secondary school. The ideal candidate will assist pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and help create inclusive classrooms. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, with a daily rate of £90–£95. Applicants must have relevant experience and be willing to undergo mandatory compliance checks.

Overview

Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – Secondary School

Working hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. Daily rate: £90–£95, paid weekly every Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Support students across the school in classrooms, small groups, and one-to-one settings, with a focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist students to access the curriculum, implement learning strategies, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work flexibly and proactively across a range of subjects and year groups.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience working with young people in a school setting and familiarity with SEND support strategies (highly desirable).
  • Reliable, motivated, and keen to work in a supportive school environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and proactive in supporting across various subjects and year groups.

  • Salary/pay rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
