Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £90.12 - £105.13 per day

Location: Cradley

Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 08:45 - 14:45.
  • Wednesday: 08:45 - 16:30.
  • Friday: 08:45 - 13:15.

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in an Alternative Provision school in Cradley, supporting students in Key Stages 3 & 4 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Requirements
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH needs - essential
  • Experience within an alternate provision / PRU environment
  • Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting challenging behaviour
  • Reliability, positivity, and a solution-focused mindset

This role involves working with secondary‑aged pupils (11‑16) who may face barriers to mainstream education. You will support their learning, emotional development, and social engagement, working as part of a close‑knit and experienced team.
