Teaching Assistant - Morning Support (Banbury Area)
Location: Banbury Area; Hours: Part-time, every morning (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM); Contract: Long-term, Terms 5 & 6; Daily Rate: £88.92 - £110 (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting early years education? We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Banbury area. This role focuses on supporting children in a nursery setting, but there could be flexibility to work with other year groups if you are the right fit for the school and you would be suited to a different age‑group.
About the Role
- Provide nurturing support to children in the nursery class during morning sessions.
- Assist with play‑based learning activities and early years development.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for young learners.
- Support the class teacher and work collaboratively with the wider team.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or Childcare qualification.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ in Childcare, or equivalent.
- Experience working in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.>
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child development principles.
Ideal Candidate
- Warm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience as a Nursery Assistant, Early Years Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
