A leading engineering firm in Portsmouth seeks a Project Engineering Manager to lead complex projects in the Underwater Battlespace division. This role sits within the Torpedo Support area of Under Water Battlespace and Autonomy with BAE Systems Maritime and Land. Reporting to the Torpedo Support PM Lead this role requires the management of two distinct projects one within a matrix team setup drawing support from the wider Torpedo Support function to realise the required deliverables and a secondary team directly reporting into this role requiring the management of a range of engineering disciplines delivering a proof of concept programme. In addition to the management and delivery of the teams these projects need to be taken through lifecycle management processes ensuring the correct governance is applied. Acumen is required to be able to work in a complex stakeholder environment where there is a need to bring a number of both internal and external sponsors and resources together to achieve the project aims.
