Boeing Defence UK is looking for a site specialised System Administrator based in Middle Wallop to support the a program IT requirement, specifically delivering bespoke software and devices to a number of MOD sites. This role will also involve contributing to the additional site IT requirements and supporting other focals in the training and End User Support Teams. Local to site, you will be involved in system integration activities, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of workstations to ensure the we provide our customer the latest material to operate MOD assets. Providing IT consultancy by engaging with the local community, ensuring advice and resolution is based on best practice and in line with the wider Boeing strategy. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for this statement of work ensuring the MOD and upwards of 500 devices are kept compliant. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring Boeing meets its SLA's to the MOD and any risks or failures are managed and escalated in a timely fashion. Equally comfortable, confident and professional whether on the end of a phone or 'hands‑on' at a desk, you will be the sort of individual that takes pride in providing a first-rate service and genuinely enjoys solving IT issues for colleagues at all levels. This is a new capability and will require 2 new administrators geographically dispersed, as a requirement of the role will be the occasional travel with onsite presence at a number of MOD stations across the UK. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Middle Wallop, UK.
Responsibilities
- Engage in system integration activities, including hardware and software installation, configuration, and management of workstations to ensure our customers have access to the latest technology for operating MOD assets.
- Continuously looking for improvements to ensure services operated are aligned to industry best practice and Boeing enterprise best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for this statement of work, ensuring compliance for the MOD and approx. 500 devices.
- Deliver exceptional service, whether communicating over the phone or working hands‑on at a desk, whilst taking pride in resolving IT issues for colleagues at all levels.
- Respond to events, requests and incidents logged in management systems.
- Work to well‑defined SLAs & KPIs.
- Support functional teams within the IT organisation, providing remote hands and collaboration where necessary.
- Work closely with Infrastructure to help implement strategies and future roadmaps for the training environment.
- Work with the site team to establish and support their operational requirements.
- Identify and raise technical challenges and limitations within the Apache Academy environment.
- Provide IT support within the Apache Academy and globally as and when required.
- Support other sites remotely or in person supporting colleagues.

Qualifications
