Qualifications

  • Experience as a Sushi Chef in a luxury hotel or premium restaurant is essential.
  • Deep knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation required.
  • Organized, detail-focused, and proactive.

As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting and maintaining the highest quality of sushi and Japanese dishes. With exceptional knife skills, knowledge of Asian produce and a passion for authentic flavours, you will deliver dishes that embody Nobu’s signature balance of tradition and innovation. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure every plate is crafted with care, precision and artistry.

You bring experience working as a Sushi Chef, ideally within a luxury hotel or premium restaurant. You have excellent knife skills, a deep knowledge of sushi preparation and a genuine passion for Japanese cuisine. Organised, detail focused and proactive, you take pride in creating exceptional dishes and thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes to the highest Nobu standards
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the full menu offering
  • Ensure your section is always clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements
  • Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
  • Handle and store produce correctly, maintaining freshness and quality
  • Assist in developing new dishes and specials that enhance the menu
  • Share knowledge and support the training of new team members
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring smooth kitchen operations
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide crafted, memorable dining experiences
