Job summary

A growing care company in Knowsley is looking for a Supported Accommodation Team Leader. This role involves supporting young adults in their journey towards independent living. The ideal candidate will assist with emotional support and manage daily operations in a supportive home environment. Job description

A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live‑in support and supported accommodation for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. The company prides itself on supporting the children with life skills and emotional support as they develop towards becoming well‑rounded members of the community.

They are recruiting for a Supported Accommodation Team Leader for young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Based in a group supported home for young people – a self‑contained flat complex.
  • Work 2 shifts per week (10 am to 10 am the next day).
  • Based at the Kirkby facility in Knowsley.
  • Support male and female young adults from 16 – 18 years old.
  • Assist the young adults in preparing them for independent living and navigating self‑sufficiency.
  • Provide emotional support to help them work towards independent living.
  • Run the complex with the home manager – handling H&S, OFSTED paperwork, safeguarding, and assisting new starters.
Salary & Benefits
  • £14.81 per hour without the NVQ level 3, or £15.40 per hour if you already have it.
  • £60 per night shift in addition to pay for 36 hours per week at the above rate.
  • 224 hours holiday per year, with an extra 2 days after 2 years of service.
  • Bank holidays paid at 1.5 ×.
  • Access to a support network with further training and development.
  • Free parking on site if required.

Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
  • Living within commuting distance to the Kirkby complex.
  • NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience working with older children or young adults in a home or assisted living setting, or experience in assisted/supported living for adult care.
  • Experience with safeguarding, children’s health and safety and OFSTED, and good paperwork skills.
