We are looking for a dedicated, experienced Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team. You will be working in a small adult learning disability home in Erdington. We can offer a variety of shifts: earlies, lates and nights, based on your availability. The home is close to major bus routes and Gravelly Hill train station, so there is no requirement to drive. Sponsorship cannot be offered for this position and we cannot offer 20 hours per week.

Benefits
  • Free training updates
  • Online access to your rota and payslips
  • Confirmation of all shifts you have accepted via SMS
  • Weekly Pay
  • 28 days annual leave pro rota. You accrue this based on the hours you have worked at 12% of your pay rate
  • Complete flexibility around your other commitments
  • Induction – at the start of your first shift at a new home – yes, including fire procedures!
Salary

You will receive £12.25 (+12% holiday pay) per hour.

Safeguarding and checks

We are committed to safeguarding; all successful Support Workers will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks. Where you are not registered with the DBS update service, the cost of the DBS will be £50. Some of our roles require male or female workers only. Where this is advertised, it is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010

Experience

You will be looking for people with recent paid care experience as a Support Worker, Care Worker or Personal Assistant to work shifts on either an ongoing flexible or temporary to permanent basis.

Location and availability

The home is easily commutable from Aston, Saltley, Erdington, Perry Common, Minworth, Perry Common, Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham. We are happy to work with any availability although we cannot offer school hours due to the shift patterns of the homes that we supply to.
