Overview

Gap personnel has an exciting opportunity available for a Support Manager to join our prestigious Client in Aston-on-Trent, Derbyshire on a full time, permanent basis.

Annual Leave entitlement: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays

Additional Information: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is necessary, traveling to the other areas of Derbyshire will be required.

Our Client believes that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society so are looking for a skilled and values-driven Support Manager to lead and coach their teams in delivering outstanding, person-centred Support.

Responsibilities

As the Support Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of several teams within a specific area. Leading teams to maintain an inclusive transparent culture whilst maintaining robust regulatory, contractual and organisational compliance. The ability to lead teams to support growth and development is the key to success as is the ability to build trusted relationships with people supported, friends and Family, local authorities, central teams and healthcare professionals to drive positive outcomes for the people our Client supports.

Skills and Experience
  • Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification, or willingness to work toward it.
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Experience leading teams and managing service delivery in a regulated care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexibility to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
Desirable
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing change.
  • A full UK driving licence with business insurance.
