Supervisor - Planned Works (Social Housing)

Location: Reading & Oxford

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 per annum + Van & Fuel Card

Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join a leading social housing contractor, overseeing planned works across Reading and Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role delivering high-quality refurbishments and upgrades that improve residents' homes and communities.

Role

As Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate daily site activities across planned works, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You'll be the key link between operatives, subcontractors, residents, and the site/project manager, making sure works run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily site operations on planned works (including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, roofing, and associated refurbishment).
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades, and direct operatives.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance, carrying out site inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and costs, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Liaise with residents, clients, and the site team to maintain excellent communication.
  • Support the Site/Project Manager in driving programme delivery and resolving challenges.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor within social housing planned works (K&B, windows, doors, or external works).
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead operatives and manage subcontractors effectively.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence
