What We’re Looking For

We’re hiring an experienced Loctician with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in loc maintenance, styling, and crotchet techniques. The ideal candidate is confident, reliable, passionate about hair and client care, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional loc services including maintenance, styling, crotchet techniques, colouring, and treatments
• Offer expert consultations, listening carefully to clients’ needs and recommending styles based on hair texture, condition, and face shape
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and professionalism at all times
• Maintain excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
• Recommend and upsell additional services or products to enhance the client experience
• Support with general salon duties, including appointment management and payment processing (optional — confirm if required)
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and events

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Loctician (including crotchet styles)
• Strong portfolio of work in Afro/textured hair
• Friendly, confident, and a great communicator
• Comfortable with time management and fast-paced salon environments
• A growth mindset and passion for continuous learning and excellence
• NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• Bonus points if you have experience mentoring junior stylists or managing small salon teams.
