Overview

Ingfield Manor School provides education for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, the school focuses on holistic development, including physical and communication skills. The school is located with convenient road links; a bus stop is nearby, and there is a large car park. As a key member of the team, you will actively participate in all aspects of the student’s day, helping to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that reflects the school’s ethos of conductive education.

Working Hours

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks plus holidays)
  • Shift patterns include: 7:00am – 3:30pm; 12:00pm – 9:00pm; 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • Part-time hours are available on a pro-rata basis

Salary

  • £21,961 – £24,191 per annum (equivalent to £12.31 – £13.56 per hour)
  • Full-time equivalent (FTE) for 52 weeks: £25,605 – £28,205
  • Salary is dependent on experience
Role

As a Student Support Worker, you will support students in classroom environments, assist in accessing the community, and participate in activities to help develop life skills, alongside assisting with personal care needs. You will contribute to creating a nurturing environment where students can lead fulfilling lives, in line with their needs and aspirations. You will support their personal growth by assisting with personal hygiene, maximizing comfort, and fostering abilities while minimising risks. You will promote and empower students to actively participate in college activities by providing support within college sessions and in the community at large. Effective communication is essential to understand the needs of students, team members, and the organisation, ensuring seamless implementation of individual care plans.
