A higher education institution in Wales is seeking a full-time Student Finance Assistant. The role involves monitoring and reporting on student finance matters, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing specialist advice to students and staff. Strong IT skills and the ability to work independently are essential. This is a fixed-term position until 30 June 2026.

The primary aim of the Student Finance Assistant is to undertake a range of essential activities within the Student Records Office to ensure the University’s compliance with Student Finance policy and service level agreements, duties and responsibilities. The main purpose of the role is to support the University’s student finances through the monitoring, tracking and reporting of sponsor and tuition fee data and to report changes to student circumstances to the Student Loans Company (SLC) through the HEP portal where appropriate. Reporting to the Student Finance Officer, the post-holder will work closely with Faculty staff across the University and colleagues in other Professional Services departments and is expected to provide administration services and specialist advice and support to students and staff as necessary.
