Job description - the role

In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of managing the contracts to ensure a high performing supply chain which is vital to our business performance and overall success and selecting top-tier suppliers.

As a Strategic Buyer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Consolidate information
• Provide a presentation pack to vendors
• Collate questions from vendors
• Interpretate information back to Rolls-Royce

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven track record in procurement and buying roles across varied sectors
• Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrable experience in data interpretation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and associated data tools
• Background in supply chain operations and end-to-end procurement cycles
• Experience conducting robust tender assessments and evaluations
• Skilled in translating analysis into actionable recommendations for leadership teams
• Able to manage responsibilities independently and work with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

• Strategic procurement experience, with an ability to contribute to long-term sourcing plans
• Exposure to complex sourcing exercises, including RFI/RFP management
• Category or commodity management experience within a global or highly regulated environment
• Commercial acumen with a sound understanding of contractual frameworks (e.g., terms & conditions, supplier compliance)
