A leading educational institution is seeking a Stores Manager to oversee supplies for its catering services across campus. The ideal candidate must be physically capable of handling heavy loads and have strong organizational skills. The role includes ensuring the smooth operation of coffee shops and the Refectory. Benefits include 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, generous pension options, and access to a high-quality gym.
Interviews are expected to be held on Friday 3rd October.
This role will be based on the university campus.
The Catering service provides on campus services for students, staff and visitors. The department is part of the Facilities Directorate, employs 140 staff and has a turnover of more than £7 million. As the Stores Manager you will form part of a dedicated team maintaining the smooth ‘day to day’ running of 11 coffee shops, Refectory and Function Floor. Stores provision and ordering is the key to maintaining adequate supplies to each of the above areas.
You must have the ability to manually handle heavy and awkward loads as dry goods are stored and moved around the campus on large, metal, wheeled cages. You may on occasions be asked to carry out care-taking duties to ensure that the Refectory and University House buildings are unlocked in the mornings and then locked up in the evenings as required by the hours of business.
Please note that this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Information on other visa options is available at:
