ROLE - Stock Controller
TERM - Permanent
LOCATION - Berkshire
SALARY - £30,000 - £36,000, dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Travelling around the UK to visit customer sites and carry out inventory
- Managing your own time, organising customer visits and planning routes
- Monitoring, recording and maintaining stock levels to ensure accurate availability
- Carrying out regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies
- Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries
- Ensuring stock is stored safely and efficiently in the warehouse
- Working closely with production and purchasing teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Updating the ERP/MRP system accurately and in a timely manner
- Preparing reports on stock usage and availability for management review
- Supporting continuous improvement in stock control processes
Qualifications / Attributes
- Previous experience in a Stock Controller / Inventory Management role
- Happy to travel around the UK for customer visits
- Able to plan your own routes and schedule to maximise efficiency
- Proficiency using stock control systems / ERP / MRP software
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Confident using MS Office (Excel essential)
- Ability to work independently as well as within a small team
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Own your own vehicle and be willing to travel as required
