Qualifications

  • Experience in a Stock Control role is preferred.
  • Confident computer skills, especially in Excel and Word.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records including stock levels and purchase orders.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels and stock movements.
  • Participate in inventory audits for stock accuracy.
  • Enter shipping and inventory data into the system.
  • Track and manage inventory levels to meet demand.
  • Place orders for new stock and manage purchase orders.

Responsibilities

As a Stock Controller based in Yate, Bristol (BS37 5NG), you’ll be responsible for:

  • Record Keeping - Maintaining accurate inventory records, including stock levels, purchase orders, and shipment details.

  • Reporting - Generating reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and purchasing activities.

  • Auditing - Participating in inventory audits to verify stock accuracy. (Yearly Stocktake)

  • Data Entry - Entering shipping and inventory data into the computer system.

  • Inventory Management - Tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand.

  • Ordering and Procurement - Placing orders for new stock, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.50 hours a week Monday to Friday 08.30am - 5.00pm.

Requirements

  • Industry or merchant experience is advantageous

  • Previous experience working in a Stock Control role.

  • Confident computer skills in Excel and Word.

  • A dependable, hardworking team player who’s open to learning

  • A valid driving licence (preferred but not essential)
