Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for keeping homes safe, modern, and well maintained?

We’re looking for a proactive Stock Condition Surveyor to join our Asset Services team. You’ll be out and about across our communities, carrying out property surveys and making sure we have accurate, up-to-date data to shape our investment programmes.

It’s a varied and rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in identifying issues, supporting planned maintenance, and ensuring residents live in safe, high-quality homes.

What you’ll be doing

Carry out stock condition surveys using tablets / PDAs and keep asset data up to date

Record building attributes, highlight non-compliance, and raise urgent issues promptly

Work with colleagues across Repairs, Neighbourhoods and Assets to ensure effective follow-up

Identify properties requiring upgrades or earlier investment and report these to the Stock Investment team

Keep Keystone and Northgate systems accurate and updated

Provide advice on building components, defects, and maintenance issues

Represent PA Housing positively with residents, contractors, and partners during surveys

Support delivery of safe, compliant, and well-maintained housing stock

What we’re looking for

Have experience in property surveying, housing maintenance, or building diagnosis

Understand building construction and component lifecycles

Are confident using computerised systems for repairs and asset data

Have excellent communication skills and can work effectively with residents, colleagues, and contractors

Are organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing deadlines

Bring a customer-first attitude and a genuine passion for service improvement

Ideally, are progressing towards a professional building or surveying qualification

This role requires of the successful candidate to complete a standard DBS check. A standard DBS check will show any spent and unspent convictions.

So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit / support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.

Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited into the role; if you are potentially the successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post you have applied for and what remedial action , if any, have you have taken since your conviction.
