Overview

Staff Nurse – Surgical Ward, London / The Wellington Hospital (NW8 9LE). Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Sunday. Shift times: flexible to work, long days, nights and weekends based on internal rotation. Permanent contract. Salary: competitive depending on experience plus 9% shift allowance.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and direct junior staff and temporary staff.
  • Demonstrate good clinical practice and be accountable for own actions.
  • Contribute to setting clinical standards, policies and procedures and to research-based care and practice development initiatives.
Unit scope

The surgical unit provides care for pre- and post-operative patients across specialities including plastics and breast surgeries, Colo-rectal, gynaecology, bariatric, ENT, upper GI, gynaecology, urology, vascular & general surgery.
