We have an exciting locum opportunity for a Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our social services team in the vibrant city of Gloucester. This part-time position (3 days a week) offers an hourly rate of up to £35, providing the flexibility you need for a perfect work-life balance. Immerse yourself in this fulfilling role as you contribute to the thriving community by working closely with the EHCP service and other professionals in SEND.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Speech and Language Therapy advice for Statutory Education Health and Care Needs Assessments, ensuring reports highlight educational requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Deliver customised therapy to children with diverse developmental, sensory, physical, and emotional needs, enhancing their educational experiences.
  • Collaborate with educational professionals to facilitate the delivery of indirect therapy, and when appropriate, conduct workforce development in educational settings.
  • Maintain high standards of service by delivering evidence-based therapy aligned with UK professional standards and accessible across school and community environments.
  • Attend hearings as a witness on behalf of the local authority for SENDIST appeals, offering specialist insights and engaging in professional discussions with fellow therapists.
