Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, with consideration for applicants seeking a developmental role (5 to 6) working under a developmental plan. To join our Children's Community Speech and Language Therapy Service. This full-time, permanent position is based in Milton Keynes, offering the chance to be part of a small, supportive team and make a real difference to children and families in the community.

This role works across the early years and early years complex needs team, supporting children, families and other professionals to understand and address speech, language and communication needs, and to develop functional skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Early Years teams in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to children with a variety of complex needs.
  • As a senior therapist in a small team, support speech and language therapy associate practitioners, devising therapy plans and offering clinical guidance, supervision and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to facilitate comprehensive care and service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and learners as applicable.

Education and Qualifications

  • Essential: Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
  • Essential: Registered member of RCSLT
  • Desirable: Membership to appropriate CEN
